I'm kinda proud of myself. I worked out both Saturday and Sunday. I joined Snap Fitness this past Friday so after work I will stop on my way home and work out. If I make it home I'll never go back out again. The gym is literally right behind my work.
I also will need to go grocery shopping with the roomie after I work out. It's been so nice to live with someone who is so much like me. We are both laid back and easy going. We love our kids and would do anything for them. We don't pry into each others business. We share what we want to. We are being very open and honest with each other so no issues go unresolved.
I didn't get to see the grandkids this weekend. They were suppose to stop by while they were in town but the daughter had a bad headache so they went straight home. That's o.k. I'll catch up with them soon. At some point I need to get over the mountain to see my Mom but the Cascade range has been hit hard with snow. 72" in 72 hours up there. Beautiful but not nice driving conditions.
We had the saddest tragedy happen here in town. We have gotten lots and lots of rain so flooding in the creeks and canals has been prevalent. There was a car with a 25 yr old male, his 5 yr old son, a 18 yr old female and her 20 month old son in it and they inadvertently drove into a canal. The water level in the parking lot was equal with the canal and he could not tell it was there. It was night time and I don't believe there were from the area and familiar with the layout of the parking lot. Anyway, the 25 yr old father was able to get out of the car, broke a window to drag his son out while other people who saw the crash attempted to pull the girl and her son out. They weren't able to before the car was sucked into a culvert that went under 800 ft of roadway. The bodies of the baby and his mama were found the next day. The father and his five year old son are up at OHSU in Portland. They are both in bad shape and not sure if they will survive or not. It was a very sad situation.
I know we are not the only town touched by tragedy but it sure does hit home when it happens close to home.
I have taken Jules mantra to heart and every night before I go to bed I tell myself "Live moment by moment", over and over again. It has truly been helping.

Sorry to hear of such a horrible tragedy in your area. Floods are terrifying.
